Ho'omana'o 2010 features a live performance by the world famous Makaha Sons. Their classic Hawaiian music will accompany premiere hula dancers from the  Coachella Valley. “Hawaii’s Golden Memories” will take you on a musical journey showing the evolution of modern hula.  The majesty, history and beauty of hula brought to life on the stage of the Palm Springs High School Auditorium with 1100 seats. 
 

The amazing Makaha Sons joined together 34 years ago.  Louis "Moon" Kauakahi, John Koko and Jerome Koko continue to perpetuate the traditions of Hawaiian music with their incomparable vocal arrangements and delightful stage presence filled with comical antics that have won the hearts of fans worldwide. 
 

Kekoa Yap, Founder and Kumu Hula (Hula teacher) of Hälau Hula O Wailehua, says, "This year’s celebration is one I have been planning for nearly two years. I am very excited to see it come to life. It will be a night to remember."  His hula school will be joined by those of Kumu Hula Nani Aiu-Quezada’s Halau Hula Moani’a’ala’Anuhea and Lehua Hawkins', Hälau Hula Kükalehuaika'ohu. Three groups of amazing hula performers together with the Makaha Sons!   
 

Our Emcee for the evening is radio hostess Alaka’i Paleka, the Morning Goddess, on air personality of KPOA in Maui and recording artist. 
  

Reserved seating will range from $25 through $45 for general seating, $75 for VIP seating.  A special  VIP package of $125 will include a  champagne cocktail reception with  Hawaiian music at the beautiful Hilton Palm Springs prior to the Concert, valet service at the auditorium, and of course, front row seats. 

When purchasing your tickets online, a service fee of $1.50 per ticket will be applied.  A first-class mailing, fee of $3.00 per order will be charged.
